Forces Tax Free Car Sales was formed on
January 01 2002. On a biting cold winter’s morning, typical of
Paderborn and its high surrounding area, the rented van was
quickly emptied and poured into the office container which, we
soon realised was colder inside than the friendly -9 degrees
outside. The company was quickly formed following the slow
demise and, almost awaited decision from the owners of MCS
(Military Car sales) to finally: “call it a day” and retire
gracefully. Stewart J. Roy, the last MCS Sales Manager, with the
assistance and support from his wife Val, rapidly made the move
from the frozen north of Bergen-Hohne, to concentrate on the
main troop area of Sennelager in Paderborn.

Ideally situated, adjacent to the popular
NAAFI Max complex, we soon realised the importance of the
expression: “location, location, location.” Within weeks we were
selling cars far beyond our true expectations and would soon
become one of the major contributors to BFG and its various
communities.
Two years of intense selling came and went and, despite the 2003
Gulf War dragging our troops away to contribute in saving the
world of a tyrant - later to be deposed, we got on with the job
in hand. Despite the interruptions, it was clear that we needed
an additional salesman to cater for the increasing flow of
customer enquiries and, ultimately, sell more motor cars. A
suitable candidate was found which, undoubtedly, contributed to
a successful 2004 with an increase in cars sold by 25%. To
compliment the success in Sennelager, we had the opportunity to
open a second office, ironically, back in Bergen-Hohne where we
were so successful, and happy, under a previous employer. A week
of interviews finally came up with a saleswoman who was under
our noses the whole time. Needless to say, after a
pressure-packed year- we were exhausted. A holiday in the Indian
sun of Goa was duly booked and a hard earned rest followed. But,
it wasn’t to stop there; lying in the sun, it became apparent
that yet another salesman was required for 2005......
2005 was an industrious year like the
previous three; with yet another saleswoman joining us, a
dedicated web master working www.forcescars.com suddenly, we
were three times as many personnel than we started. As the pace
increased and sales continued to improve throughout the year,
things were about to change – beyond recognition. NATO cars,
synonymous with BFG for over 20 years, were about to close their
doors – for good. Within 3 months, they were gone, and we had
taken over their Sennelager Showroom. The move was to prove
pivotal in the on-going success story of Forces Tax Free Car
Sales Predominately a Renault supplier, as the sales increased,
so did the products we supplied: Ford; VW; Audi; Vauxhall all
contributed to the increase in profile and the development of
the new showroom environment.

2006 rolled into 2007 and, sales increased by another 20% with
yet another salesman coming on board. As one of the few
companies in Germany, capable of supplying cars literally within
days of writing the order, we have become one of the major
suppliers of cars to BFG with stock ready for immediate delivery
- direct from either Paderborn or Bergen-Hohne. Whether it’s
Renault, Ford or Audi we always have stock for immediate
delivery. In October 2007 we moved again to cater for the
increase in sales. This time, a long term investment was made to
BFG and the Paderborn Garrison, with a new, purpose built
Showroom; bigger than the previous showroom with better
facilities, for insurance: TFI (The Forces Insurance) & Allianz
are both prominent within the friendly comfortable environment
The pinnacle of our success story has been the recent
appointment by AUDI UK, as their sole agent and supplier of
their products to BFG - again, with stock vehicles ready for
immediate delivery – right here in Germany. The new showroom has
proven to be the ideal facility to sell one of the worlds most
prestigious products. Call us for a consultation and – a test
drive. |
